Beth Callahan

Head of Library and Researcher Information Services

Beth Callahan is the inaugural head of Library and Researcher Information Services at UL Research Institutes. She designed, launched and now leads the team of librarians within the organization’s Library and Researcher Information Services (LRIS), which supports ULRI researchers’ work by offering professional information expertise, a full menu of research services, and access to digital resources.

Her past work experience includes ten years at UC Davis Library, where she led the directorate that provides comprehensive services to support students, researchers, scholars, and clinicians through research consultations, instruction support, outreach, and collections. Before joining UC Davis, Callahan spent four years as the assistant director for acquisitions and technical services at Wayne State University, more than ten years as a manager of health sciences libraries, and six years managing a research center in a global advertising agency. Callahan holds an M.S. in Library Science and a B.S. in Business Science, both from Wayne State University.
