Winner of ASEAN‑US Science Prize for Women 2020 Announced

Underwriters Laboratories is proud to support the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-U.S. Science Prize for Women. As a collaborative effort among three parties, Underwriters Laboratories, ASEAN Secretariat and USAID, the prize recognizes ASEAN-based, early- to mid-career female scientists for their significant academic and professional achievements. The theme of this year's ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women focuses on Preventive Healthcare. Congratulations to Dr. Chan Yoke Fun from Malaysia on winning the 2020 Prize and to  Dr. Shefaly Shorey from Singapore for receiving the honorable mention award.

Their scientific research not only amplifies the critical need for preventive healthcare, but also highlights the need for meaningful healthcare changes within their communities and countries.
