Prabhas Moghe

Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Rutgers University

Dr. Prabhas V. Moghe is executive vice president for academic affairs at Rutgers University in New Jersey. An innovative scientist and educator, Moghe forges strategies and develops initiatives to strengthen the Rutgers academic enterprise.

Moghe has held several academic and administrative positions since joining Rutgers in 1995, serving as both provost and executive vice chancellor for research and academic affairs. He was named a distinguished professor of biomedical engineering and chemical and biochemical engineering in 2013.

In research initiatives funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, the American Hospital Association, and private foundations, Moghe has generated imaging nanotechnology for early cancer detection and potential therapies for neurodegenerative disorders.

Moghe earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He has been named a fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society, the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering, and the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering.
