UL Research Institutes is pleased to announce the following changes to the Board of Trustees.
George Williams has been appointed the new chair of the ULRI Board of Trustees, succeeding Jim Shannon in that role. George is a longtime member of the ULRI Board, having served as a trustee since 2008. He also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of our affiliate, UL Solutions. Given his new role as ULRI’s Board Chair, George will no longer chair the ULRI Board’s Governance & Compensation Committee.
Jim Shannon, the former board chair, will continue to serve as a trustee on the ULRI Board and a member of the ULRI Board’s Audit Committee. Jim also currently serves as chair of the Board of Directors of our affiliate, UL Solutions.
Darryll Pines has been appointed the vice chair of the ULRI Board of Trustees. Darryll has been a member of the ULRI Board since 2018. He will also continue to serve as a member of the ULRI Board’s Audit Committee.
Elisabeth Tørstad has been appointed the new chair of the ULRI Board’s Governance & Compensation Committee, succeeding George Williams in that role. Elisabeth has been a member of the ULRI Board since 2020. She also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of our affiliate, UL Solutions.
