Underwriters Laboratories Research Director Dr. Judy Jeevarajan spoke as a panelist on the topic of Energy Storage at the first World CleanTech Week e-Convention

Energy storage technologies play a vital role in various sectors, such as consumer electronics, electric vehicles and grid energy storage. Due to the exponential growth of the energy storage industry, sharing knowledge and creating awareness on the safe design, handling and usage of batteries has become critical worldwide. With that objective in mind, Underwriters Laboratories Research Director Dr. Judy Jeevarajan spoke as a panelist on the topic of energy storage at the first World CleanTech Week eConvention on April 21, 2020.

During this virtual event, which was held on Earth Day, Dr. Jeevarajan gave insights on the environmental impact of energy storage systems (ESS) and discussed where the industry stands globally on the recycling and reuse of lead acid and lithium-ion battery chemistries. The session was attended by around 3,000 people from all over the world.
