ULRI Making Final Touches on Evanston Office Space
While the office vacancy rate in Evanston, Ill., has climbed slightly to nearly 13% since early this year, the executive director of nonprofit group Downtown Evanston says the arrival of UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement is “exciting.”

“Having more of that proximity to transportation, to restaurants — a lot of our talent coming into the workforce now has different kinds of demands. That sort of live, work, play concept that you have in a city like Evanston is actually really attractive to us as an employer.”
