Our Electrochemical Safety Research Institute (ESRI) has sponsored the WESD global event since 2020, leading battery safety workshops on different safety aspects and hazards associated with lithium-ion batteries. ESRI has also hosted virtual expo booths to showcase our work and that of other research institutes.
Together with sponsoring the event, this year ESRI will convene a webinar on the different aspects of battery fires and safety. ESRI's Director of Safety Research, Vinay Premnath, will moderate a panel session on "Battery Fire and Safety - A Global Perspective" on Monday, Sept. 23, from 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. CDT.
