World Energy Storage Day
Join us on Sept. 22 at World Energy Storage Day (WESD) 2023, a virtual global conference on the significance of green energy and clean transportation.
With a rising focus on the effective integration of renewable energy, the importance of electric vehicle and reliable, resilient energy supply, energy storage is becoming an increasingly important tool in the electricity ecosystem. With energy storage rising to the forefront of industry developments, World Energy Storage Day is commemorated on Sept. 22 every year by various global industry stakeholders, policy makers, think tanks, and associations to acknowledge its importance across the globe.
Our Electrochemical Safety Research Institute (ESRI) has sponsored the WESD global event since 2020, leading battery safety workshops on different safety aspects and hazards associated with lithium-ion batteries. ESRI has also hosted a virtual expo booth each year to showcase our work and that of other research institutes.
This year, ESRI will once again host a virtual booth, and ESRI’s Vice President and Executive Director Dr. Judy Jeevarajan will speak on the topic of “Safety Aspects of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)” in the Stationary Energy Storage session from 2:00-3:30 p.m. CST.
Register now to listen to the session and be part of World Energy Storage Day 2023!
