UL Research Institutes’ Electrochemical Safety Research Institute will contribute technical expertise to the upcoming Waste Leadership Summit taking place June 8-10 in Washington, D.C.
Throughout the event, members of the Electrochemical Safety Research team will exhibit a booth highlighting research that advances understanding of the growing risks associated with lithium-ion batteries in waste operations, and showcase the Be Nice To Your Device program, an initiative to raise awareness about the same disposal and recycling of lithium-ion batteries.
This forum brings together waste and recycling leaders, investors, and policymakers to address the sector’s most pressing operational and safety challenges.
The summit is organized in partnership with Waste360, and serves as a critical platform for connecting expertise, informing policy, and driving innovation in a rapidly evolving waste management landscape.
