As technologies powered by lithium-ion batteries continue to shape how people learn, communicate, and innovate, educating future generations about safe battery disposal and recycling has never been more important.
UL Research Institutes’ Electrochemical Safety Research Institute will exhibit at Tech Fest Live STEM Go Pro Day at the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston on July 30, where students will explore STEM careers through interactive activations, workshops, and industry engagement opportunities. Members of our team will share knowledge and showcase the importance of safe disposal and recycling of lithium-ion batteries through the Be Nice To Your Device program while sharing insights into careers in safety science and engineering.
The event provides a unique opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with real-world technologies and discover how research can contribute to a safer and more sustainable future.
