NAATBatt International, the trade association for advanced battery technology in North America, is holding its 16th annual meeting and conference in Orlando, Florida, on February 17 – 20, 2025. The conference will bring together professionals and prominent speakers from federal policy, private manufacturing, and national laboratories, all focusing on batteries, energy storage, and electric vehicles (EVs).
“Migo” Szeman Ng, Ph.D., Lead Research Scientist for the Electrochemical Safety Research Institute (ESRI), will speak at the conference to provide an update to NAATBatt members on ESRI’s lithium-ion battery recycling research and community outreach.
She will discuss ESRI’s recent project that explored, in collaboration with Rice University, safer and direct recycling strategies to reduce costs and improve energy efficiency. She will also speak about ESRI’s Be Nice To Your Device public safety campaign focused on lithium-ion battery recycling.
The ESRI presentation will take place during the session titled “Member Update Presentations (Upstream): Session 3A-10” on Wednesday, February 19 (please check the agenda for the latest updates as the date and time may be changed by the event organizers).
