International Battery Materials Association Annual Meeting 2024

The Electrochemical Safety Research Institute (ESRI) has been carrying out safety and performance characterization tests on commercial sodium-ion cells. The results of the performance of the single cells under two different rates and the safety tests at the module level will be presented at the International Battery Materials Association (IBA) 2024 by ESRI Research Scientist Dr. Dhevathi R. Rajagopalan Kannan on Sept. 13 at 9:40 a.m. Atlantic Daylight Time (ADT). The presentation is titled “Characterization of Performance and Safety of Commercial Na-ion Cells.” ESRI will also set up a booth exhibit.

Poster presentations will also be available from Migo Szeman Ng, lead research scientist at ESRI, on ”The Development of Operando Interfacial Studies of Solid-State Batteries” and Vallabha Rikka, lead research scientist at ESRI, on “Enhancing Electric Vehicle Battery Safety: Early Detection and Management of Failure Risks from the Materials – a Cell-level Perspective.”
