2025 International Battery Materials Association Annual Meeting

The Electrochemical Safety Research Institute will participate in the International Battery Materials Association (IBA) Annual Meeting in Singapore from Nov. 9-14.  The research institute is a platinum sponsor of IBA 2025 and will exhibit at booth no. 1.

The following Electrochemical Safety leaders and researchers will present at IBA 2025:   

  • Judy Jeevarajan, Ph.D., vice president and executive director, will present on the topic, “Suppression of Lithium-ion Battery Fires in Aircraft Cargo Compartments,” on Nov. 12 at 9:35 a.m. Singapore Standard Time (SST). 
  • Wan Si Tang, Ph.D., director, Novel Materials & New Energy Forms, will present a poster on the topic, “Correlating Material Structures and Phase Transitions with Fast-Ion Conductivity for Potential SolidState Electrolytes,” on Nov. 11.
  • Frederick Gray, research scientist, will give a poster presentation on the topic, “Characterizing the Effects of Mixing Procedure on Anode Tortuosity and Interfacial Evolutions in Lithium-Ion Batteries with EIS and DRT Analysis,” on Nov. 12. 
  • Wan Si Tang will also present a poster on “Hexagonal Boron Nitride Infused PVDF Separators: A Path to Safer and More Efficient Li-Ion Batteries,” on Nov. 13. The presentation was created by Bicy Kottathodi, Ph. D., research scientist.

Since 1975, the IBA Annual Conference has been a cornerstone of battery innovation and serves as a premier forum for industry leaders to discuss emerging trends and share cutting-edge developments in battery technology.
