With University Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP), we hosted an interactive webinar about the UL Research Institutes (ULRI) Discoveries in Safety Grants Program, funding research that aligns with our mission of building a safer and more sustainable world. Through an open and competitive process, ULRI funds scientific discovery across focus areas that address our three grand challenges: (1) Building resilience for a sustainable future, (2) Advancing individual and societal health in the 21st century, and (3) Promoting safety at the human-digital interface.
Moderated by Kristen Delphos, vice president of communications and public affairs for ULRI, our expert panelists discussed our six funding opportunities, illustrating the wide variety of research funded through the Grants Program.
Panelists included:
- Dr. Chris Cramer, Interim President and Chief Research Officer, UL Research Institutes
- Dr. Jill Crisman, Vice President and Executive Director, Digital Safety Research Institute
- Dr. Kelly Keena, Senior Director, Office of Research Experiences & Education
- Dr. Steve Kerber, Vice President and Executive Director, Fire Safety Research Institute
