
Members of UL Research Institutes’ Electrochemical Safety Research Institute will join industry leaders and scientists from institutions and organizations to advance discussions on battery safety at the “Batteries” Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on February 15-20 in Ventura, CA.
This year’s conference theme, “Innovations in Materials, Chemistry, and Architectures Supporting a System of Systems,” will explore breakthroughs shaping next-generation energy storage solutions.
- Judy Jeevarajan, Ph.D., vice president & executive director, will lead a discussion on “Safety Science” on Monday, February 16, 7:30 p.m. PST (5:30 p.m. CT). This will be an in-depth conversation on safety science, addressing critical challenges and outlining strategies to ensure safe, reliable battery systems.
- Bicy Kottathodi, Ph.D., research scientist, will present a poster on “Electrospun-Electrosprayed PVDF-hBN Composite Separators: Improving Thermal Stability and Electrochemical Performance in Li-Ion Batteries.”
- Bhuvsmita Bhargava, Ph.D., post doctoral researcher, will present a poster on “Understanding the Thermal Safety Profile of Si-Gr Anodes Used in High Energy Batteries.”
The Batteries GRC is an international scientific conference focused on advancing the frontiers of science through the presentation of cutting-edge and unpublished research. The program will feature presentations, poster sessions, and networking opportunities to build lasting partnerships and drive innovations.
