Supporting Strategies for Healthy Buildings


Facility Management Journal coverThe Chemical Insights Research Institute (CIRI) shared research-backed strategies for achieving healthy indoor environments, a fundamental requirement for high-performing buildings and their people, in the recent article, “Creating a Healthy Indoor Environment: Reducing Chemical Air Pollutants’ Impact.” Published in the International Facility Management Association’s flagship Facility Management Journal, CIRI shared details about pollutants and their sources along with available mitigation strategies for reducing these occupant health risks reaching more than 23,000 global readers. CIRI highlighted key emerging health topics including exposure to “forever” chemicals such as PFAS and phthalates. Sharing this research knowledge globally is critical in providing strategies for protecting the health of building occupants and educating those professionals responsible for operating and maintaining buildings.
