More than 500 firefighters from across the United States submitted an application to serve on the technical panel for the Study of Fire Service Residential Home Size-up and Search & Rescue Operations project. All applicants were highly qualified and very passionate, making the selection process very difficult. Members were selected based on fire service experience, geography, department size, and department type. 

The following firefighters have been selected to serve on this technical panel:
