UL Research Institutes’ Electrochemical Safety Research Institute is proud to participate as an event sponsor, joining national leaders at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC) TTC Battery Safety Summit on May 19-20 in Pueblo, Colorado.
As part of the technical program, Judy Jeevarajan, Ph.D., vice president and executive director of the Electrochemical Safety Research Institute, will present a talk on “Integration Design Best Practices” during Breakout Workshop on May 20 at 9:30 a.m. MDT.
Her session will highlight key recommendations and guidelines to consider during the design and development of energy storage systems from cells to system levels including safe installation and integration for various applications.
Throughout the event, the Electrochemical Safety Research team will also exhibit a booth, sharing research that advances battery safety and performance.
The summit is a national forum that convenes government agencies, manufacturers, emergency responders, safety professionals, and industry experts to collaborate on advancing battery safety across transportation systems. The program includes technical discussions, applied breakout workshops, and a full-scale battery fire demonstration at the USDOT Federal Railroad Administration’s TTC, providing attendees with practical insight into testing environments and incident response strategies.
