Residential Flashover Prevention with Reduced Water Flow: Phase 1

FSRI

This report covers the results of the first phase of the UL FSRI study investigating how to optimize the flow rate and distribution of water needed to prevent flashover in some residential fire scenarios. The aim is to develop the basis for a low cost, retrofittable option for homeowners using the existing domestic water supply in detached single family homes. Funding provided by the U.S. Fire Administration.
