Horizontal Ventilation in Legacy and Contemporary Residential Construction Online Course Released

The UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute (FSRI) released an online training course based on the research conducted for the "Impact of Ventilation on Fire Behavior in Legacy and Contemporary Residential Construction" study. 

This course details the changes in fire behavior due to new shifts occurring in the residential fire environment such as:

  • larger homes,
  • open floor plans, 
  • and increased synthetic fuel loads.

By taking this course, fire service members can obtain knowledge to assist in making necessary changes to current industry knowledge, processes, standard operating procedures and training tactics in their jurisdictions.
